Enrico Ruggieri graduated in piano, studying with Paolo Russo and Rachele Marchegiani.
After a Bachelor on Architecture, followed a Bachelor degree on Choir Conducting in Pescara Conservatory
and a Master Degree in Choral Music and Choir Conducting in Bologna Conservatory. He attended masterclasses
with many different musicians specialized in choral conduction and early music.
He has studied with Tonu Kalijuste, Peter Phillips, David Lawrence, Julian Wilkins, Walter Marzilli, Marco Berrini,
Annibale Cetrangolo, Maurizio Less, and vocal technique with Ghislaine Morgan,Sandro Naglia, Elisa Turlà (Voicecraft),
Federica Fedele (Alexander Technique). He conducted many amateur choirs with varied repertoire: church music,
folk music, early music, mixed choral repertoire. Presently, he is conducting “Compagnia Virtuosa” a renaissance
and baroque vocal ensemble (Pescara).
Enrico is the director of the Cultural Association Compagnia Virtuosa. The association organized musical events
and workshops based on choral music and vocal early music.! With the Compagnia Virtuosa Association and choral
formations, Enrico collaborated with regional and national institutions of choral music and vocal early music,
and won prices in two choral competitions.
He works on a didactic project for elementary musical education of primary and secondary schools and a on research
project on transcriptions and online publishing of Abruzzo Early music. Now he is specializing in choral conducting
and baroque music at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag with the teacher Jos van Veldhoven.
